Transparency International just revealed its 2009 Corruption Perceptions Index . Kenya remains the most corrupt country in East Africa. This country is placed 146th out of 180 countries surveyed—a slight improvement from its last year position. Transparency International attributes this position to failures of political leaders to address the vicious cycle that links corruption to poverty. This news report was released on November 18, 2009 by NTV Kenya.
