Dear Friends,
I have been working in a supporting role of the AfCoP since its very beginning in early 2007. I have been honoured to meet and work with many AfCoP members during the past 2 1/2 years. Your stories and your work has been an inspiration to me and the reason why I continue to be involved with this community of practice. I believe the ideas, the vision and the peer-to-peer learning that is generated through this community is having an impact on development work internationally.
I am starting this blog as a means of highlighting some of the informal stories that I have come across working with the AfCoP and to highlight various resources which might be in service of the work that you do. Yes, we have starting building an excellent electronic library but I wanted to take the opportunity to look a little closer at these materials. Blogs tend to be informal in nature and they can be an opportunity to informally, colleague to colleague, friend to friend, share knowledge, insights and reflections. So, as I start on this journey I do invite you to drop in and join me with responses to my postings. You are welcome to my electronic home.
So please stay tuned and visit this space to view up-coming stories.
Warmly,
Sheila
