In May this year, the AfCoP concluded its 4th Annual Meeting which took place in Nairobi, Kenya. Over 60 participants representing a wide range of AfCoP member countries across Africa met to discuss the AfCoP's progress made since its creation in 2007, to strengthen its effectiveness at the national level and to plan for its transition toward a new governance structure.
The meeting provided an important opportunity for members to share lessons learned and success stories on implementing MfDR in Africa as well as to define a new work plan for the Core Management Team, with a focus on reinforcing capacities at the national level and building institutional capacity in MfDR.
This meeting also confirmed the AfCoP’s role as a major player in the development field prior to the 4th High Level on Aid Effectiveness. With over 2,000 members from across Africa and around the world, the AfCoP represents a tremendous force in the field of Managing for Development Results.
