What are the AfCoP Goals and Results?

The AfCoP's Core Management Team has identified the following goals for 2009 under Networking, Membership and Communication, Capacity Building & Knowledge Management, and Monitoring & Evaluation.

Networking
Increase AfCoP knowledge sharing activities
Approximately 30 MfDR topics posted on the English and French forums to date
Expand e-library resources
Documents uploaded
Increase role of AfCoP at national and international events
Members have represented the AfCoP in over 5 major international MfDR events in 2009

Membership and Communication
Expand AfCoP membership and increase member participation
Membership growing exponentially, 48 new members per month on average
Support national CoPs
Niger, Senegal, Kenya, and Sierra Leone establishing CoPs

Capacity Building & Knowledge Management
Produce bimonthly newsletters
Ten newsletters published by June 2009

Monitoring & Evaluation
Monitor and evaluate implementation of annual workplan
Results Framework created and regularly monitored
Develop an African Sourcebook on MfDR
African Sourcebook to be published in 2009
Conduct 2009 annual meeting
planned for November 2009
Conduct annual member satisfaction survey
82.5% of members consider the AfCoP to a useful and relevant resource and tool in achieving development results (2008)
