i say ICT is the easiest way out from poverty but east african countries specifically ethiopia understand the issue so late and yet to privetize the sector to private investors and it is killing the potential benefit it would have bring to the people and i say we do something about it.

Kenya and Eastern African countries are spending millions of money to instal ICT infrastructure. We need to come together and think critcally on how we can leverage this technology for the benefit of people especially the rulral folks.
There are many areas of concern now that we have this huge bandwith. Security.

Mining Companies in West Africa for example takes so much but very little is seen in the mininig communities. AngloGold Ashanti has mined gold in Obuasi for more than 100 yrs but Obuasi still remains a slump. The mining law in Ghana allows companies to have 90% of the profit. At least land could be used as equity. Any best practice in RSA and Australia?

Africa and I.T

ask yourself this, why are we backward when it comes to technology

we have the best programmers and designers in africa

why not step forward our inventions to make africa great

irrigation inventions
agricultural inventions
anything that works for a better Africa
food mechanisms

please input on this and lets form an organization to eradicate poorness through I.T.
