Let's us be part of the enrolment drive... I have just invited Dr Toun Akinsolu to join and I understand she has. Yes, we must plan for a national meeting but we plan properly so that we get results.

How do we make people's voice to count in government policy and projects in Nigeria?

This is particularly important considering the fact that the Nigeria people have been sideline from government policy and development projects for too long.

This is the reason why the various development agenda/vision or programmes embarked upon by past administrations in  Nigeria does not have direct impact on the people. The fact  reamins that you cannot shave a person's head in his absence.

The time has come when development projects are based on the felt needs of the people of Nigeria.

Dear Ikubaje, you have taken the first step by joining this group online, when we have a few more persons taking this step a meeting will be convened to set up the Group formally. be assured that I do not intend tro assume ownership of the process without a meeting being held. I count on your support to make this effort to work.

Decentralization and local development: Ensuring Positive Outcomes

Dear Colleagues, A few weeks ago, we asked members to submit topics that they wanted to talk about. One of the topics that came up that we haven’t really talked about in details is decentralization and development.  For several decades decentralization and local development have been encouraged in many African countries as a means for generating a dynamic approach to development by including local stakeholders and beneficiaries in project development and implementation. For most states and…See More
