Thank all who have contributed. To add to the Korea agenda is finding out where beneficiaries can come in. Beneficiaries should be the ones to suggest what projects, implement them, and be able to show off the results. I also suggest that in order to make a difference from the usual results should be public to enhance accountablity and to empower the beneficiaries with knowledge of what they are getting from such project.
The beneficiaries should also be responsible for monitoring and evaluation and be proud odf their involvement in the project. Only this may sustain project and enleash the potention of the beneficiaries. They know what works after all.

Beneficiary participation is critical in the success and sustainability of any result oriented development project and therefore should be involved at all stages of the project. Their involvement should begin at needs assessment to allow them come up with a priority need to be addressed by the project, in implementation and in monitoring and evaluation of the project activities. In doing this, ownership and sustainability of the project is enhanced. It can be done through formation of target area development committees and representation in stakeholder fora.
