CoP-MfDR-Africa

I have been receiving replies from members of the CoP to the request posted below for completion of a survey about governance work in Africa and the role of the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative.  Thank you to those who have participated to date. Some of the issues that are coming up include:

 i) How to identify reforming leaders?

ii) The balance between "willingness" and "ability" of leaders and senior officials as barriers to change.

iii) The importance of support to the mechanics of government such as action tracking, private offices and more effective meetings.

iv) Whether organisations from outside Africa should be involved in this work.

If you have views on these or any other related issues please complete the questionnaire and return it to me.  I will summarise the results and post them later in the year.

In order to give opportunity for more members to be involved in the survey, the deadline has been extended to 21 September 2012.
